This excerpt from When Race Becomes Real: Black and White Writers Confront Their Personal Histories, edited by Bernestine Singley, appeared in 2002 as part of Harvard Magazine’s coverage of recent books by Harvard affiliates. The excerpt concerns author Noel Ignatiev’s role in launching a journal “to chronicle and analyze the making, remaking, and unmaking of whiteness.”
"THE GOOD NEWS is that there are now a host of writers and a growing number of courses and workshops designed to enlighten white people as to the real benefits and the great cost of their property in whiteness," writes former Harvard Law School professor Derrick Bell in his epilogue to When Race Becomes Real: Black and White Writers Confront Their Personal Histories, edited by Bernestine Singley, LL.M. '76 (Lawrence Hill Books, $26.95). Many of those engaged in this Herculean task are white, Bell notes, among them Noel Ignatiev, Ed.M. '85, Ph.D. '94, C.A.S. '95, author of How the Irish Became White and a fellow at the W.E.B. Du Bois Institute, who writes:
IN THE INTERESTS of survival, Afro-Americans have always studied whiteness. There is a long tradition among them that the white race is a peculiar sort of social formation, one that depends on its members' willingness to conform to the institutions and behavior patterns that reproduce it. By the early 1900s...it was becoming commonplace in the academy to speak of race, along with class and gender, as a social construct....
In addition to the notion of race as a social construct, [an old friend, John Garvey, and I] shared another, which we owed to the West Indian Marxist C.L.R. James: that ordinary Americans are drawn by the conditions of their lives in two opposite directions, one that mirrors and reproduces the present society of competition and exploitation, and another that points toward a new society based on freely associated activity. We believed that this internal antagonism played itself out as a civil war within the white mind, between the desire of whites to wall themselves off from black Americans and their desire to overcome the boundaries that kept them apart.

John and I decided that it was time to launch a journal to document that civil war. The result was Race Traitor, whose first issue appeared in the fall of 1992 with the slogan "Treason to whiteness is loyalty to humanity" on its cover. The aim was to chronicle and analyze the making, remaking, and unmaking of whiteness. My book on the Irish was the story of how people for whom whiteness had no meaning learned its rules and adapted their behavior to take advantage of them; Race Traitor was an attempt to run the film backwards, to explore how people who had been brought up as white might become unwhite....
The goal of abolishing the white race is on its face so desirable that some may find it hard to believe that it could incur any opposition other than from committed white supremacists. Of course we expected bewilderment from people who still think of race as biology. We frequently get letters accusing us of being "racists," just like the KKK, and have even been called a "hate group." ...
Our standard response is to draw an analogy with anti-royalism: to oppose monarchy does not mean killing the king; it means getting rid of crowns, thrones, royal titles, etc....
Every group within white America has at one time or another advanced its particular and narrowly defined interests at the expense of black people as a race. That applies to labor unionists, ethnic groups, college students, schoolteachers, taxpayers, and white women. Race Traitor will not abandon its focus on whiteness, no matter how vehement the pleas and how virtuously oppressed those doing the pleading. The editors meant it when they replied to a reader, "Make no mistake about it: we intend to keep bashing the dead white males, and the live ones, and the females too, until the social construct known as 'the white race' is destroyed—not 'deconstructed' but destroyed."

The wonderful thing about having this article here is, it makes clear that the anti-whites really do want genocide. Sometimes they pretend that they're not genocidal by saying that white people don't exist, or that the program of mass immigration and forced integration and affirmative action is about building up the Other instead of tearing us Whites down. But every once in a while, an anti-white slips up and admits to wanting Whites to not exist in the future.
I hope this article is never taken down until Harvard Magazine goes bankrupt.

Groups of humans evolved in different areas of the world over tens of thousands of years. During that time, they evolved [biological] differences.
The differences that whites evolved have helped them shape world history. There's a term for a world without whites: "third-world."

Too many white people are proud of their whiteness. They love the whiteness of the white race and take pride in the good qualities of the white race. Of course the black and yellow races also have their strong points and take pride in the things at which they excel. Just as people of the black and yellow races should not be exterminated so should people of the white race also be allowed to continue to exist.
If a black person stated he wanted to end the lives of people of the yellow race he would be a racist. If a yellow person stated he wanted to end the lives of people of the yellow race he would be a racist.
Any person that works toward ending the lives of people because of their race is a racist.

Race can be culture and biology, like a family with a common set of genes and social mores. After all what is a race but a partly inbred extended family. This is not mysterious and was the common more or less ambiguous understanding for millenia. No amount of talmudic wordplay will alter the fact that the common man has a far more nuanced understanding of certain concepts than most academics.
When American higher ed. is gutted of its Frankfurt School tripe they will be very different institutions if they survive at all. The crash of the education funding bubble will ensure this.

I'm not trying to be funny. But you can't abolish the white race because it doesn't exist to begin with. If people would throw out Darwinian ideas of race and believe what the Bible has to say on this issue, it would be a much better world. According to the Word of God, there is only one race - "the human race."

The Hebrew bible has 7 DIFFERENT words for "man" that has been translated into the English word man.
Adam means man, but Adam in Hebrew means to be able to show blood in the face.
The word Enosh was translated into man, but Enosh means primitive man.
Their are other words as well, like for instance the Hebrew word "Ish" that was merely translated to the English word man.

You grossly misunderstand the Bible. The Bible is about race, the TRUE, WHITE Israelite race. Look at it's descriptions of the people, only ONE race fits it. And don't forget, the Bible demands "Kind after Kind " - read the end of Nehemiah for example if you don't think its about race.
All "humans" cannot be from Adam, nor does the Bible state such. If all humans were from Adam and Eve, where would those "who might kill Cain" have come from, or those whom Cain married and built cities, etc? The Bible clearly states that 'man' - small 'm' / homo sapiens were created in the first chapter. Adam was a seperate creation, later in the second chapter. Archaeology and biology confirm this if you're not intelligent enough to believe the Word.
Esau has been trying to kill Jacob for centuries - his children such as the authors here continue to do the work of their father Esau, and his father the devil. Fact. Whilst they have made, and are continuing to make great inroads, they will never be successful. God said so. Race can be culture and biology, like a family with a common set of genes and social mores. After all what is a race but a partly inbred extended family. This is not mysterious and was the common more or less ambiguous understanding for millenia. No amount of talmudic wordplay will alter the fact that the common man has a far more nuanced understanding of certain concepts than most academics.
When American higher ed. is gutted of its Frankfurt School tripe they will be very different institutions if they survive at all. The crash of the education funding bubble will ensure this.

I'm not trying to be funny. But you can't abolish the white race because it doesn't exist to begin with. If people would throw out Darwinian ideas of race and believe what the Bible has to say on this issue, it would be a much better world. According to the Word of God, there is only one race - "the human race."
The Bible does not even use the word race in reference to people, but it does describe all human beings as being of “one blood ” (Acts 17:26). This of course emphasizes that we are all related, as all humans are descendants of the first man, Adam (1 Corinthians 15:45), who was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26–27). Just because the semantics don't fit into your belief on who Europeans are still does not make it to where less people are being killed. There are people dying because of their White Skin. The Hebrew bible has 7 DIFFERENT words for "man" that has been translated into the English word man.
Adam means man, but Adam in Hebrew means to be able to show blood in the face.
The word Enosh was translated into man, but Enosh means primitive man.
Their are other words as well, like for instance the Hebrew word "Ish" that was merely translated to the English word man.
Brit-Ish - means "covenant man"

You grossly misunderstand the Bible. The Bible is about race, the TRUE, WHITE Israelite race. Look at it's descriptions of the people, only ONE race fits it. And don't forget, the Bible demands "Kind after Kind " - read the end of Nehemiah for example if you don't think its about race.
All "humans" cannot be from Adam, nor does the Bible state such. If all humans were from Adam and Eve, where would those "who might kill Cain" have come from, or those whom Cain married and built cities, etc? The Bible clearly states that 'man' - small 'm' / homo sapiens were created in the first chapter. Adam was a seperate creation, later in the second chapter. Archaeology and biology confirm this if you're not intelligent enough to believe the Word.
Esau has been trying to kill Jacob for centuries - his children such as the authors here continue to do the work of their father Esau, and his father the devil. Fact. Whilst they have made, and are continuing to make great inroads, they will never be successful. God said so. His remnant will survive, and at the end of the age, those such as the authors here will be brought before Jesus and slain in his presence as they "did not want Him to rule over them". Take it to the bank.

As an anti-White, can you name an Asian country that you believe must bring in millions of non-Asians and assimilate with them, until Asians become extinct?
Which specific non-White population do you INSIST must be ‘mixed’ and ‘blended’ out of existence in their own country, or is it ONLY White people you are against?
